I am a semi-retired science teacher turned climate justice activist. I walked across the country in 2014 with the Great March for Climate Action. We witnessed the horror that the fossil fuel industry is perpetuating on communities that are poor and of color. This is nothing short of a genocide and these are monsters. There is no other way to describe it. The complacency, normalizing, and denial is the worst I’ve ever seen, even since the nuclear arms race of the Reagan ‘Star Wars (insanity)’ Era. This is the greatest challenge that humanity has ever faced and Americans are plainly not facing it.
