Patrick White
About

Patrick is a second-year PhD student in the Nuclear Science and Engineering department at MIT. Patrick’s current research focuses on safety and regulatory policies related to the construction and operation of nuclear power plants. He received his B.S. and M.S. in mechanical engineering from Carnegie Mellon University in 2012, with a focus in thermal and structural finite element modeling. Before coming to MIT, Patrick worked at MPR Associates, an engineering consulting firm specializing in work with commercial nuclear power plants. He has also previous interned at the Westinghouse Electric Company and the Defense Nuclear Facilities Safety Board.
