The Geography of Climate Change

We all know that climate change will affect have varied effects on different parts of the world. This article (via Sarah Simon, one of our members) shows that Texas will be worse off than New Hampshire among other things. Makes me think of Larry Susskind's points about adaptation

The article is really thought

The article is really thought provoking. The study authors make clear that their study doesn't include almost certain effects like mass migrations. Seems pretty likely that many many people, businesses and institutions will flee...er, relocate...from Arizona, Texas, Louisiana and Florida for the likes of Oregon and New Hampshire. Wonder what that will be like.

By the way, just discovered this recent podcast interview with one of the study authors, Solomon Hsiang at UC Berklely -- http://forecastpod.org/index.php/2017/05/02/climate-economics-sol-hsiang/
I hope to give it a listen soon, learn more about how these sorts of studies work.
